"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
-Carl Rogers
I'm Sarah (she/her). I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in treating adults with anxiety disorders.
I have expertise in treating OCD, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (skin picking, hair pulling). This treatment further aims to reduce related symptoms such as depression, anger, avoidance, and all-or-nothing thinking.
Often, our anxiety can be connected to complex experiences, which is why I also make space to explore and process identity-based concerns, relational stressors, and trauma.
I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD.
Clients describe my style as friendly, warm, and validating.
My goal is to meet you where you're at, while empowering you to be vulnerable and self-directed.
In sessions, we'll explore your past and its impact on your life, while learning new ways of responding in the present. This might look like changing your thoughts, creating new habits, increasing values-based activities, improving self-talk, and being more effective in relationships.
The time is always right to prioritize your mental health.
Let's talk about how I can help.
